My Process

I usually start out with an idea or a concept. Then in my sketchbook, I draw 8-15 thumbnails until I have one I like. Next, I go in with a rough sketch and render it. Once I think I have a good enough sketch, I decide what surface I want to draw it on. I usually use water color boards. Then, I transfer my sketch and render just a bit more. Once I have that down, I take a photo of it and digitally get a color scheme going. Then I’m ready to paint. The process varies depending on what surface I decide to paint on , but usually I layer in base colors using FW acrylic ink. Then I go in with details, usually moving my way from the background to the foreground then the character and such.
